Voluntary Service Association (VSA) is a community-based NGO, established in 2001 with the collective efforts of like-minded individuals and organizations dedicated to restoring and empowering vulnerable sections of society, including women, children, and other disadvantaged groups. Realizing the need for united efforts to bring about visible and sustained change, VSA is rooted in an in-depth analysis of grassroots interventions. Starting its impactful work in the underdeveloped Deoria district of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, South Delhi, India, VSA addresses the challenges faced by the marginalized population, categorized as below the poverty line, heavily reliant on small-scale agriculture and allied activities. With the aim to alleviate poverty and improve livelihoods, VSA focuses on organizing and empowering rural poor and migrant laborers, introducing income-enhancing strategies, and facilitating access to financial services and markets. Comprising a team of dedicated professionals, VSA strives to make a positive difference by directly engaging with the impoverished communities.

VSA works with underprivileged and marginalised women, children, Adolescents and Disables through a holistic approach, with a prime focus on livelihood development.
VSA is committed to bring about positive changes in the quality of lives of the deprived people by making available education, comprehensive health services, micro credit as well as other social services that the enable them to exercise social-economic rights.
VSA firmly believes that emphasizing an inclusive gender approach, community participation and working in integration and collaboration with Government and other relevant organization enhances the qualities of women’s lives.
VSA will continue to distinguish itself, as a development organization oriented to holism by maintaining professionalism through competent staff to meet the organizational and community needs. The organization is striving to make itself institutionally, program wise and financially sustainable without compromising with quality.
Vsa provides girls a safe and healthy environment to address social, emotional and educational deficits by offering a continuum of services that empower them to become self- sufficient young women who contribute to their communities.

VSA’s vision is a society free from hunger, gender discrimination and other forms of exclusion, in which all women, children/youth, adolescent girls and People with Disability advocate for equal participation in development and makes informed choices.
